Budget Bully – Expense Tracker is built with tough love for your spending, but soft hands for your privacy. This page explains what we collect, what we do not, and how your data stays under your control.

1 Information We Collect

What lives on your device & what you share with us

1.1 Data you enter in the app

The app stores the following information only on your device:

  • Budgets and budget details
  • Expenses
  • Tags and categories
  • App preferences and settings
  • Subscription entitlement status (local only)

We do not upload or transmit this data to any server.

1.2 Support emails or feedback you voluntarily send

If you contact us at azamsharp@gmail.com, we may receive:

  • Your email address
  • The content of your message
  • Any attachments you choose to send (e.g. screenshots)

This information is used only to respond to your inquiry and provide support. We do not sell, share, or use it for marketing.

1.3 No automatic personal data collection

The app does not automatically collect:

  • Names
  • Email addresses (except when you email us yourself)
  • Phone numbers
  • Location data
  • Contacts
  • Payment information
  • Device identifiers or analytics data

2 How Your Data Is Stored

Local-first by design

All your budgeting and expense information is stored locally on your device using Apple’s secure frameworks (for example, SwiftData).

Budget Bully – Expense Tracker connects to our secure content servers only to download new “mean messages”, roasts, and related artwork shown inside the app. Your budgets, expenses, tags, and other financial data are not sent to these servers.

Optional iCloud sync

If you enable iCloud on your device, Apple may sync your data across your devices using your Apple ID. This sync:

  • Is encrypted
  • Is managed entirely by Apple
  • Cannot be accessed by the developer

Note: You can disable iCloud for the app at any time in your iOS settings if you prefer to keep everything strictly local.

3 In-App Purchases

Handled by Apple’s StoreKit

Budget Bully – Expense Tracker uses Apple’s StoreKit for managing in-app purchases and subscriptions. Apple may process:

  • Billing and payment information
  • Transaction identifiers
  • Subscription renewal status
  • Region and currency information

This information is handled solely by Apple. We never receive or store your full payment details such as credit card numbers.

4 Third Parties & Children’s Privacy

No ads. No trackers.

Third-party services

The app does not use:

  • Analytics SDKs
  • Advertising networks
  • Third-party trackers
  • External databases or APIs for your personal data

No third party has access to your budgeting or expense data.

Children’s privacy

Budget Bully – Expense Tracker is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

5 Your Rights & Data Deletion

You stay in control

Because your data lives on your device, you are in full control:

  • You may delete individual budgets or expenses within the app.
  • You may delete the app at any time, which removes all locally stored data from your device.
  • You may disable iCloud sync if you do not want your data stored in the cloud.

The developer cannot access your information and cannot restore your data once it has been deleted from your device or iCloud.
