Privacy Policy
How Redacted handles your information.
Redacted respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how your information is handled when you use the Redacted app.
Information We Do Not Collect
Redacted does not collect, store, track, or share personal information for advertising, analytics, or marketing purposes.
- No user accounts are required.
- No analytics or tracking SDKs are used.
- No data is sold or shared with third parties.
Document Handling
All PDF documents and redactions are handled with privacy in mind.
On-Device Storage
By default, documents you import or create in Redacted are stored locally on your device.
CloudKit Sync (Optional)
If you enable iCloud, Redacted uses Apple’s private CloudKit database to sync your documents across your own devices.
- Data synced via CloudKit is private and accessible only to you.
- Redacted does not have access to your CloudKit data.
- Apple manages CloudKit security and encryption.
Original and Redacted Documents
Redacted allows you to access both original documents and redacted versions of those documents. These remain under your control and are stored locally or in your private iCloud storage, depending on your settings.
Sharing Documents
When you choose to share a document, Redacted uses Apple’s standard system sharing tools. Documents are shared only when you explicitly initiate a share action.
Redacted does not monitor or record how or where shared documents are sent.
Data Security
Redacted relies on on-device protections provided by iOS and Apple’s CloudKit privacy and security infrastructure (if enabled). No external servers are used to process or store your documents.
Children’s Privacy
Redacted does not knowingly collect any personal information from children under the age of 13.
